Our 2011 Annual Appeal begins with a bit of boasting. Last year our colorful Marching Man paraded with his tuba to the grandstand and reached our $12,000 goal. As we look back on 2010, we can't help tooting a few horns ourselves.
Why? Because with the generous support of donors like you, as well as the commitment of hundreds of volunteers, corporate partners, and the City of New London, we delivered a jam packed program in 2010, one well worth crowing about.
And now, after more than a decade serving New London's Historic Waterfront District, we are proud to launch our most ambitious project to date: the Rink on Parade Plaza. For the past two years, we have collaborated with the City to develop this exciting outdoor attraction that we expect will bring hundreds of young people and adults downtown daily throughout the winter months.
Recreational programs and free skating hours are already filling the calendar. We invite you to join the fun by coming to the District for dinner, shopping, and a twirl or two around the ice.
